This kid is awesome. Bennett, you are awesome, if you ever read this. You challenge us more than we could've imagined and you bring so much love. Sometimes we're bursting with so much happiness we cry. We also cry because you crack us up! We took a break from blogging because Ben has been in a DOC Band. Long story short: He had severe acid reflux and we found it better for him to sleep at an angle in a Rock 'N Play. It kept him at an amazing angle where he could still burp acid (horrific, I know) but it wouldn't come flying out of his nose. Anyway, all that sleep time in the Rock 'N Play cause his skull to flatten a bit in the back. The DOC band has done a phenomenal job at rounding it back out so he has a beautiful head again. Three more weeks and he's done! Yippee!
HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!
We ended up celebrating Ben's first birthday by going to the Armed Forces Day Parade, which was amazing! Ben loved watching the soldiers march so much, he walked out and marched with them a little bit. The crowd near us melted. Ben loved spending the day with his Auntie, my in-laws and by BFF and her son, Michael. He did noooot love touching his birthday cake and getting messy. It was hilarious! He's obsessed with balloons and yesterday he said, "Oon" while pointing at a balloon.

11 MONTHS
Oh man. Ben refuses to eat any food. He likes to kick back and be fed with his bottle. He does not like mushy things, but likes eating crunchy snacky finger foods - like the melt away baby cheeto-things and yogurt bites. He's teething hard core so he bites everything he can get his hands on, especially mommy & daddy's shoulders!
10 MONTHS
He started walking. And then the next day, I swear he started running... and he's been running ever since! He is strong willed and does what he wants. He started throwing mini tantrums (throwing his head back and fake crying). He loves giving hugs, playing hide & seek, grinding his teeth, and holding hands.
9 MONTHS
Push cart is his favorite toy. He learned to pull himself up and cruise at 8mo so it only makes sense that he'd love this little push cart thing. It gets him from A to B much more efficiently! Though he only says Mama, Dada and Up, he understands a lot of words: bird, moon, flag, car, stop, no, kiss, hug, go, come, car, ball, eat.
