It's official. Our little man is two! Well, two going on twenty-two. Overnight he seems to have become this fiercely independent man. He walks deliberately and confidently. He says unlimited words and loves trying to put together sentences. Today he said, "Dada, gone to working." after my husband left for work. It was adorable. He measured at 34" and 28.1lbs for his 2yr check up. He recognizes all colors, though we're working on brown, gray and silver. He can clearly say "Ben-nett" as opposed to "Bent" haha! He loves kisses and hugging but also being very rough - he really likes wrestling and rough-housing.
For his 2nd birthday we had a Construction theme party and Bibi & GG came to visit! It was so much fun to have some of our favorite people and their kiddos around. We have a small house so we had to keep the list short, but there were a handful of kids and two babies. We spent the day BBQing and got to watch the parade. After watching the soldiers in the parade and then getting to crawl a couple of Army tanks, he loves pointing out when he sees soldiers and "marching". Here are some photos:
High-fiving soldier as he walked by. He was thrilled to walk up to him all by himself. He had previously passed up the change to high-five a couple of other soldiers so it took a minute to build courage.
